Would you eat a baby?

I heard about this from my dad a while ago when he showed me an email sent to him containing these facts. I was deeply disgusted by this. My God, what person in his or her right mind would eat a.. BABY?! And it's got limbs and a developed head at that! What's happening to the people of China these days? Are they really that desperate? You know, I'm not against abortion, but I think one has to have a valid reason before undergoing the process (i.e. mother's life is endangered because of pregnancy). And I have a big heart for baby's of any kind. Even this morning, when I cracked the duck egg that we're incubating in order to see/study the embryo, I felt sad for what I did to it.. :( But I never thought this inhumane action is actually possible. Eating babies.. very very disturbing.

A factory manager was interviewed and he testified that it is effective because he have tried it and is a frequent customer. He was interviewed with his second and very young wife, who is only 19 while he is now 62. He testifies the potency of the fetus soup and he was able to make love with his wife everyday.

"Spare rib soup" local code for fetus soup is being served to local restaurants in Canton. Couple who would like to abort their babies, could just go to these local restaurants and sell the aborted baby for 2,000RMB (China currency). These local restaurants also accepts placentas for several hundreds if couples do not want to sell their babies.

It is very disturbing to mention that most fetus served in these local restaurants are female babies. This is due to the fact that majority of Chinese prefers to have male babies and those poorer families usually end up selling their female babies.

I have a traumatic perforation in my ear; in other words, my eardrum has a huge hole.

My doctor, as an immediate aid, placed a very thin piece of filter paper-like thing in my middle ear to temporarily close the hole in my eardrum. It hurt when he did that and I almost fainted. I have to go back and visit him every week for ear check up to see if my tympanic membrane would heal. If worst comes to worst, that my eardrum would not heal, however, surgery is another option.

Surgery.. *gasp*

The sad thing was, he told me that he isn't sure if my eardrum would heal by itself as I'm already an adult, and the hole was kinda big. But just the same, he said he'll put a patch in my middle ear every week, and hopefully it'd facilitate in the healing. The surgery would be the last resort, if after everything done, nothing happened.
